Gemstone Reservation Guide

This guide explains how gemstone reservations work at Stone Aurate, including what it means to reserve a gemstone, how long reservations are held, and how reservation fees are applied across different scenarios.

Our approach is designed to give you the space to view, compare, and explore gemstones thoughtfully before moving forward with a bespoke jewelry piece.

What does reserving a gemstone mean?
  • Reserving a gemstone places it on hold exclusively for 30 days to allow time for a consultation to be arranged and attended.
  • Gemstones listed by Stone Aurate are not sold separately and are reserved solely for the purpose of creating a custom jewelry piece with Stone Aurate.
  • The gemstone reservation fee will be fully credited toward the final price of your custom piece.
  • If no consultation is arranged within the 30-day period, the gemstone will be released back to the collection.
Is the reservation fee refundable?
  • Reservation fees are non-refundable once made.

The fee is creditable for 1 year toward:

  • a future gemstone, or
  • a custom design with Stone Aurate.
What if I change my mind shortly after reserving a stone?
  • If you notify us within 48 hours of making the reservation and before any consultation is arranged, a refund may be considered on a goodwill basis, subject to review.
What if the gemstone is not the right fit, or I find another stone during consultation?
  • If another unreserved gemstone from our collection better suits your preferences, the reservation fee can be applied toward that stone.
  • We can also continue sourcing for a different gemstone if you wish to explore further options.

In either case, the originally reserved gemstone will be released back to the collection.

What if I attend the consultation but decide not to proceed?
  • The reservation fee remains non-refundable, and the amount is creditable for 1 year toward a future gemstone or design.
