Gemstone Reservation Guide

This guide outlines how gemstone reservations work at Stone Aurate, including how long stones are held, how supplier reservations are confirmed, and how reservation fees are applied.

Our approach gives you the space to view and compare gemstones thoughtfully before deciding on the right stone for your bespoke jewelry piece.

What does reserving a gemstone mean?

Reserving a gemstone places it on hold while you explore it as part of a custom jewelry piece with Stone Aurate. Gemstones from Stone Aurate’s collection may be reserved for up to 30 days to allow time for a consultation to be arranged and attended.

Gemstones are not sold separately and are reserved solely for the purpose of creating a custom jewelry piece with Stone Aurate.

If you proceed with the reserved gemstone, the reservation fee will be credited toward the final price of your custom piece.

If a gemstone from Stone Aurate’s collection is not confirmed within the 30-day period, it may be released back to the collection.

Is the reservation fee refundable?

Reservation fees are non-refundable.

For gemstones reserved from Stone Aurate’s collection, the reservation fee will be credited toward the final jewelry piece if you proceed with the reserved gemstone.

If you decide not to proceed after consultation, the reservation fee remains creditable for 1 year toward a future custom design with Stone Aurate.

What if the gemstone is not the right fit?

If another gemstone from our collection better suits your preferences, the original gemstone will be released and we can explore an alternative with you.

We may also continue sourcing other gemstones where suitable.

Any credit arrangement will depend on whether the gemstone was reserved from Stone Aurate’s collection or specially secured from a supplier.

How do supplier gemstone reservations work?

Gemstones specially secured from our suppliers are subject to availability and are only confirmed once accepted by the supplier and the reservation fee has been received.

The reservation fee will be credited toward the final jewelry piece within the same project. If you do not proceed with the gemstone or project, the fee will not be carried forward as credit.

What if I attend the consultation but decide not to proceed?

For gemstones from Stone Aurate’s collection, the reservation fee remains non-refundable but is creditable for 1 year toward a future custom design.

For gemstones specially secured from a supplier, the reservation fee is tied to the same project and will not be carried forward if you decide not to proceed.
